As an American one of the reasons I want to see Hezbollah destroyed is because of what they are doing in Central and South America. I want America to be able to take it every asylum seeker, but our capacity to effectively screen and integrate all the people who are fleeing violence and poverty is strained. It would be better if people could stay in their home countries, but Hezbollah is contributing to the suffering that makes people want to run.
I read articles 25 years ago about Hezbollah cigarette smuggling rings in 15 states on the East Coast that were taking in tens of millions in profits, that was then, where I used to buy cigarettes any independent shop has got a Palestine metal plaque on the wall, one family with lots of crime already in Minnesota. Haven't checked of their Hezbollah connections Nor shopped there since noticing
You are assuming that Israel's "Hizballah" problem is not pleasing to many. So when you talk about an international coalition you are talking, possibly, about serious supporters of Israel. They are waiting in line...
You cannot be talking about supporters of Lebanon, because there were none to be found when Lebanon went down the pipes, and there are none to be found now. It's Israel, alone.
Thank you, Ehud - yes, you're right: it can only be countries allied with Israel or against Iran. In other words, it would require the US, EU, and Gulf States to join forces, for India to get involved because of its interest in overland trade, and for China, which is a stability actor, to simply step aside and let it get done.
I unfortunately agree that most likely it will end up being Israel, alone - yet I think we need to pause, put everything we can into making the case while our military prepares for either outcome, and only decide to make war if and when we see there is no other choice.
I don't know, Ariel. I do not believe that anyone will join us against Hizballah. I think that even our closest friends will hinder us when we take action, as they have done in our present battle in Gaza. Further, does Israel even have a choice not to go to war? For that to be the case, we would have to cede the northern towns permanently. We can delay the confrontation, and here agree with you that all serious proposals for joint action should be entertained, but we cannot avoid the confrontation indefinitely.
Discovered Francisco Gil white a few weeks ago and he reinforced my suppressed thoughts that the US has a malevolent intent towards Israel, it's more of a crime syndicate than we can imagine and drug running is hezbollah's main game along with cigarette smuggling here in the US and with that size of an embassy how can the US not be aware if not complicit?

That is a very important point, about the impact of Hezbollah on the American domestic agenda - thanks Joe.
I just came across something we can add to the list of why Hezbollah must be destroyed.
"Lebanon’s Hizballah even supplies Russia with men to fight in Ukraine in exchange for Russian weapons."

Thank you - I didn't realize they're sending people to the front! That's very unexpected.

The world (however construed) isn’t interested. Israel will have to act alone to save herself and the world, which will jeer.
Unfortunately I think you may be right. I do think we need to make the case, however, that it is in the World's interest to lead.
Good luck with that, friend.
